Learning for Health is Deborah Bowes, PT and Cliff Smyth, MS. We are both Guild Certified Feldenkrais Teacherscm. We draw on our backgrounds in somatic education, Physical Therapy, mind-body medicine, expressive arts and mindfulness practice to create practical and effective programs. We combine our knowledge and experience to provide public, professional and clinical education utilizing the Feldenkrais Method.

Illness, injury, stress and trauma can be understood in biological, medical, personal, social and culural contexts. Learning through movement and awareness of embodied experience can make important contributions to our health.

The Feldenkrais Method is a learning process, which has been shown to have significant therapeutic effects and value. The Method can function as an effective complement to medical care - where it can be considered in the context of a 'biopsychosocial model' of medicine, and is a vital aspect of recovery and rehabilitation, healing and well-being for everyone.
